The Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena builds the instruments that explore other planets. Most of what ships out of JPL is one-of-a-kind—there is no backup unit, no second build, no warehouse with spares. When a payload travels from the clean room to a launch facility at Vandenberg or Cape Canaveral, the transit itself is part of the mission. If something goes wrong on the truck, it goes wrong on the timeline.

VIP Transport has been JPL's trusted carrier since 2017.

JPL doesn't need a trucking company. It needs the transit to be invisible—a sealed continuation of the clean room environment from one facility to another. The payload leaves a controlled space and enters another controlled space. What happens in between has to be indistinguishable from what happens on either end.

VIP Transport learned that standard before JPL, across four decades of handling cargo where the margin for error was already zero—museum paintings that crack if conditions shift, MRI magnets that lose calibration from vibration a human can't feel, concert grands that go out of tune from a temperature shift. The discipline came from those clients. JPL got the benefit of it.

The partnership started with a single project in 2017 and expanded to trusted-carrier status across multiple JPL facilities. Not because of a pitch—because the audits kept closing clean.
