Logistics Van Operator of the Year
VIP Transport driver Mikhail Chalankine was honored as Mayflower’s 2025 Logistics Van Operator of the Year at the 2025 UniGroup Learning Conference. This award recognizes top performers for quality service, customer care, cargo claims prevention, policy adherence, and exceptional safety records—areas where Chalankine excels among over 1,300 Mayflower operators.
His journey began in 1995 when he found a Mayflower Driving School ad while job hunting. After earning his CDL, Chalankine embarked on a 30-year career crisscrossing the nation, building trust with customers through dedication. “I always take time to show my professionalism, and that I’ll take as good of care of their goods as I would take of mine,” he said. One of just three winners this year, he embodies the award’s legacy, started in the late 1970s to honor drivers who ease families’ moves during stressful times.

VIP driver Kyle Sawicki was named Mayflower’s 2025 Household Goods Van Operator of the Year, a prestigious award recognizing top performers for excellent customer service and exceptional safety records. With over a decade in the trucking industry, Sawicki credits his success to leadership and positivity. “Take leadership and show up with all smiles,” he advises fellow drivers, reflecting the genuine care he brings daily.
Starting his career with guidance from family in the field, Sawicki quickly mastered the ropes. “I take leadership when I arrive to the customer’s home, reassuring them and gaining their confidence by being pleasant and keeping a smile on my face,” he said.
